What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (or, if you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, the name and email those services share with us). We never see or store your Google or LinkedIn password.
When you apply as a member: your phone number, life stage, industries you’re interested in, what you’d like help with, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you tell us you’re under 18, we also collect a parent or guardian’s name, phone number, and email — see “Minors and guardians” below.
When you apply as an advisor: your name, title, company, location, LinkedIn profile, phone number, areas of expertise, and a short bio shown to members.
As you use Eden: messages you send to a connected advisor or member, meeting times you schedule, goals you set, workshop RSVPs, support requests, and anything else you add to your profile (interests, skills, education, experience, a profile photo).
How we use it
To run the platform: matching you with the right people, showing your application to Eden staff for review, sending you email notifications about requests, messages, and meetings (you can turn most of these off individually from your account settings), and letting you and the person you’re connected with see what you’ve shared with each other.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it to show you ads.
Who can see what
Your application details, guardian contact info, and phone number are visible only to you and Eden staff reviewing applications — never to other members or advisors. Once you’re connected with someone, they can see your name, and the two of you can message each other and see shared goals and meetings for that relationship. Advisor profiles (name, title, bio, expertise) are visible to any signed-in member browsing the directory, since that’s the point of being listed as an advisor.
Minors and guardians
If you tell us you’re under 18 when applying, we require a parent or guardian’s name, phone number, and email before your application can be submitted. That contact information is used only so Eden staff can reach a guardian if needed as part of reviewing and supporting a minor’s membership — it’s never shown to other members or advisors.
Where your data lives
We use Supabase for our database, authentication, and file storage, Resend to deliver email notifications, and Vercel to host the site. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, those services process your login on their end per their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can update most of your profile information any time from your account settings, control which categories of email notifications you receive, and reach out through Request Support if you’d like your account or data removed.
Questions
Reach out through Request Support if you have questions about this policy or your data.
